One Learning Hub for All
What is LEO? LEO is the new academic support platform from Tutor.com. It was built by a team of Tutor.com online learning experts and educators, with input from the company’s institutional partners, to help schools provide flexible support that drives student achievement. Essentially, LEO creates one learning hub for all by streamlining student support services.
LEO creates a central spot for the scheduling, delivery, and analytics for a variety of student support services – including on-demand help for students. Through the platform, students can easily get connected to the supports available at their school, which may include on-demand tutoring, drop-off review services, high-dosage tutoring, and self-paced resources, such as test prep from The Princeton Review®. Teachers can refer students for tutoring, with specific learning needs already identified, and then check in to see their progress. And schools can keep track of scheduling, usage, and more—all in real time.
Learning Hub in Action
How does LEO work? Students can access the LEO with a single sign-on through their LMS (learning management system). Using their one login, they go to just one platform as a source for all of the support they need over the school year. LEO helps students get help when they need it.
Students can decide how they learn best and what support to access when. The platform’s proprietary online classroom—newly updated with features like SnapAttach—has a whiteboard, text and coding screens, graph paper, the Desmos® graphing calculator, and more. With LEO, students can access 24/7, on-demand help in 200+ subjects. They can also choose from different learning settings, including one-to-one, small group, workshop, peer-to-peer, or self-directed learning experiences. The platform also allows students to communicate via text, voice, and video.
Customized Learning Hub
To make sure LEO is the perfect fit for their students, schools and districts can customize the options available. They can decide to include on-demand and scheduled expert tutoring for students as well as other offerings, including small-group tutoring. Schools can also decide to offer other scheduled support options, such as academic advising.
You have lots of options when setting up LEO, including the opportunity to access tutoring services or to make it easier for students to connect with tutors in your own school or district.
Educators and site administrators get on-demand data to help them make decisions over the course of the school year. There are even real-time early intervention alerts to help administrators provide just-in-time support to any student who needs it. By streamlining access to academic support, LEO can also help institutions improve student pass rates and achievement.
