Do you have norms in your classroom? In February, Adobe for Education is hosting a special creativity challenge for teachers and students. It includes a unique template to make your own class norms poster using Adobe Creative Cloud Express.
Regular readers of the blog might remember the announcement post from last month featuring Adobe Creative Cloud Express. Everything you loved about Adobe Spark for Education (and lots more) is now available as Creative Cloud Express for Education. In today’s blog post, I’ll share a special creativity challenge for February and a template you can use for a class norms poster. And I’ll share five things I love about Creative Cloud Express for Education!
Class Norms Poster
This year, Adobe for Education is sharing monthly creativity challenges. If you follow along on Instagram, then you might remember seeing the graphic I created as part of the January challenge. During the month of February, you can create a class norms poster as part of the Creativity Challenge.
Here is the official description of the challenge:
Help your class or school develop a set of norms that guide your daily interactions. These norms can include six to ten adjectives that describe what you most want to be in a community of learners. Here is an excellent video from Edutopia about the power of class norms. Then, use the template to create your unique class norms poster and share it with your learning community and the world!
Be sure to add #AdobeEduCreative when you post on social media (Twitter, Facebook Group, or Instagram) for a chance to have your poster printed and shipped to you! No purchase is necessary; see link for full details.
As you can see in the video linked above, having norms and expectations is such an important part of creating a supportive classroom community.
Check out the poster I created below!
One very exciting thing about the February challenge is that the folks at Adobe Education will print out posters for 100 educators who participate!
