Amazon Prime Day is here — June 21st and June 22nd! And just like in years past, I put together a list for you with some favorite items. These favorite Amazon items for educators includes ones I often share on Instagram, Clubhouse or casual conversations. Like many people, I try to balance grabbing items at my local bookstore and shops in my community with the ease of comparison shopping and quick shipping on Amazon.
In today’s blog post, I have compiled a list of favorite. It includes items featured on my blog this past year, including a few books from the Easy EdTech Podcast guests. In addition, you’ll find some things I use every day, ones sitting on my bookshelf (or countertop) and a few more I think you’ll like.
Note: At the bottom of the post, I’ve included some links to past Amazon Prime Day lists. I’ve tried my best to make sure all of those links are up-to-date, too.
Favorite Amazon Items for Educators
Earlier this spring, I featured a few posts on my site with items you can find on Amazon. This includes the iPad case currently holding my tablet and Apple Pencil. In this June blog post, you can find a rundown of all of the reasons why I love it. The team at Logitech sent me one directly to try out. But you can find it on Amazon along with Apple Pencil by using these links:
Another item sitting in my office right now is the TonieBox. I was excited to partner with the team at Tonies on a post earlier this year. They sent me a TonieBox to try out, and I’m very excited about this screen-free speaker for students. Students can listen to all sorts of stories and even record themselves sharing their own stories. You can find the TonieBox on Amazon right here.
Cameras, Speakers, and more Amazon items for educators
Looking for a document camera? On the blog this spring, I shared a document camera for students from the folks at OKIOLABS. You can learn more about this device and why you might want a document camera for your students in this post. If you’d like to try one out or see it in action, it’s available from Amazon. I’ve added links below to the OKIOCAM document camera along with my favorite flare pens:
When it comes to speakers, it’s been a while since I upgraded my setup. This year I splurged on a Sonos Roam and absolutely love it. If you’re looking for a more affordable option, you might want to consider a speaker set that uses a USB cord to keep it charged. Below, I’ve included a link to both the Sonos Roam Bluetooth speakers I use almost every day, along with a USB-powered option.
If you’ve joined me for a webinar this year, you might have noticed me standing or sitting, or moving between the two. In this blog post from last year, I shared that I use shelf risers (the kind for your kitchen/bathroom cabinet) to elevate my laptop. One part of this is to make a “standing desk” option in my office, and the other reason is so I don’t spill tea on my laptop by accident. Here’s the link to the shelf risers I use (one for my iPad, one for my laptop) and a fancier option:

Everyday Favorites Items
In addition to the educator-friendly favorites featured in this post, I wanted to share a few non-education Amazon finds I love and use all the time. These fall into the everyday category for me and are ones I absolutely love.
Tea infuser: I love loose-leaf tea (Rishi Earl Grey is my favorite right now), and this tea infuser is fantastic. It keeps my tea warm and is super easy to clean.
Lemon juicer: I start most mornings with a combination of hot water, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, and honey. This lemon juicer is easy to use and perfect for the top rack of my dishwasher, and I use it most mornings.
Water bottle: If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen a picture of the Peloton I ordered this spring. Long story short, I’m obsessed with it, and you can follow along with me @Monica_Burns. Although I like a Nalgene when I’m on the go, this is perfect for rides.
As I mentioned at the top of the post, here are two of my past Amazon Prime Day lists:
